Mohonk Mountain Wedding – A beautiful winter wedding

When Jenny and Jason emailed me to talk about their wedding I was excited to hear that they were planning to get married at Mohonk Mountain.  Located in New Paltz, New York, Mohonk is probably one of my top 10 favorite places to photograph a wedding. This was my third beautiful wedding at Mohonk and I hope to be lucky enough to photograph more in the future.

Jenny and Jason took time out to plan their wedding photography and had a bunch of great ideas of where they wanted to shoot formal photos (including going ice skating which was really a great time). They had a small intimate wedding and only had me photograph the ceremony (besides some formal and family shots) but as you’ll see we got a ton of awesome wedding photos in our short time together!

Though the weather was cold everyone’s spirits were high and the beautiful bride and groom were troopers, standing out on frozen piers with enthusiastic smiles. Now onto the photos!

The Lighthouse at Chelsea Piers – A New York City Wedding

Carly and Rob were married last year in a beautiful setting.. It was a sunny, cool early March air that was perfect for walking around Washington Square Park and the Union Square area.

The ceremony and reception took place at the elegant Lighthouse at Chelsea Piers, one of the exclusive properties of Abigail Kirsch. I’ve had the pleasure to photograph a handful of weddings in these venues including a few at Stage 6 (in the Brooklyn Navy Yard) and love every opportunity I’ve had there.

Carly and Rob both had beautiful smiles and the bride particularly felt so comfortable in front of the camera we got some really fun shots together. I also had the extremely talented wedding photographer Olivia Leigh fly in from Chicago to be my second photographer.

It was such a beautiful wedding, enjoy the photos!
