Surprise Wedding!

Amazing thing happened last night, my girlfriend Jordana and I were invited to a little gathering wishing farewell to our friends Khuong and Shannon who were moving out of NYC to the west coast. But were surprised when they stood up to thank us all for coming and announced unbeknownst to us, that we were actually there for their wedding. Then they went and got changed into wedding attire and we did a ceremony right there.. I happened to have my camera with me so shot a handful of images for them.. congrats kids!

Indian Wedding Photography in Muskoka, Canada

In 2011 I spent an exciting day with Shrey and Archana who flew into New York City for their engagement session with me. Together we had a great afternoon shooting in Brooklyn and Manhattan.

They must have been pleased with their photos—soon after we met in New York, Shrey phoned to ask if I’d fly to Canada to shoot their wedding. Shrey and Archana’s beautiful affair unfolded in Muskoka, a lake region north of Toronto at the stunning Taboo Resort in Canada this past summer. Over the course of two days I shot formal photos of the couple—making full use of the region’s gorgeous natural landscape—and their wonderful ceremony, bursting with the kind of rich colors and vibrant traditions that are so fundamental to Indian weddings.

After the ceremony Archana changed into another beautiful Indian dress and joined the party to dance into the late hours. This was truly one of the most warm and festive weddings I’ve had the pleasure of photographing. It was a great experience and I think we captured some timeless images.

Tribeca Rooftop Wedding Photography

Today’s photo of the day was from a wedding last weekend with Kate and Ruben. I asked them when we arrived at the gorgeous TriBeCa Rooftop if they were up for hitting the roof… we had already done some beautiful outdoor shots post ceremony so by the time we got there it was getting dark and pretty chilly out.. they were troopers though and stuck it out for a few minutes on that wonderful rooftop..more photos to come but I wanted to share this image today. New York Wedding Photography

Katherine looked stunning last night at her wedding.. this was taken directly after the ceremony at the Greek Orthadox Church of our Savior. I saw this little path behind the church and posed her there quickly before we were whisked away for an amazing night of dinner and dancing at the New York Botanical Garden. I can’t wait to go through all the photos but had to put this one up for a photo of the day.

San Francisco Wedding Photography

This past weekend I was so excited to be able to fly out to San Francisco to photograph a wedding..I’ve done some destination weddings but it was my first one on the west coast and it was such a gorgeous event. Laura and Arik were so much fun to work with and how stunning was Laura? She just looked fabulous! This is a shot from the vineyard Thomas Fogarty Winery where we had the wedding.. just a bit outside the city of San Francisco. Lots more to come soon!

Brooklyn Wedding Photography

Today’s photo of the day features some Wedding Photography in Brooklyn, the ceremony took place in a church in Carroll Gardens (which is great since that’s my neighborhood!) and the reception at The Liberty Warehouse, a great venue with an amazing view. The groom was a firefighter and his truck came with the guys for some photos..I have a lot more great shots to share of this strikingly beautiful bride, but this moment after the ceremony is one I wanted to start with.

Associate Wedding Photography

Last year I began having associates photograph weddings under my company, particularly for days when I was already booked but was getting extra inquires. Its been a great experience I’ve had amazing weddings covered for me over the past two years and have been lucky enough to have several very talented photographers lend their time and skill working for Daniel Krieger Photography. This past weekend was a good one for my company, when 3 weddings were being photographed simultaneously for me. I wanted to share a sneak peak photo from each wedding.

First Bonnie, a wonderful photographer with a great sensibility for timing and composition, photographed what looked to be a gorgeous wedding at the Old Grey Barn in Vermont. this is the couple Lauren and Beau:
