New York City Wedding Photography

Jeffrey proposed out of the blue to Briana over pizza and some vintage champagne.. after she said yes, Jeffrey had a town car waiting for her to whisk her away to France for a winery tour. What a wonderful way to start their story.

I met Jeffrey a few years ago through the restaurant scene in New York City while he was the GM at a restaurant named Scarpetta.. we had a good time hanging out during a few photo sessions and when he told me he was getting married and wanted me to photograph his wedding I was honored.

The entire day was awesome from their Central Park ceremony to being whisked away in a vintage NYC cab to the foodie lovers paradise of a wedding reception at the The Stanard Hotel (formerly known as the Cooper Square Hote).  Negroni’s to drink, a stacked raw bar bursting with oysters and shrimp, and suckling pigs or “porchetta” as they’re called. There was a jazz trio during the cocktail hour and then some lively dancing out on the rooftop deck overlooking Manhattan, late into the night. Besides being filled with great food and drink, the room had so much happiness and love at this wedding. Thanks to Bonnie Burke for coming through with her excellent second photographer duties.

Thank you to the lovely Briana and dapper Jeffrey for having me photograph their special day, it was a total pleasure. Now onto the images from this perfect day.

Bourne Mansion Wedding

Happy New Year to everyone..2011 was a busy year for Daniel Krieger Photography I booked over 50 weddings and a ton of engagement sessions. I’m going to try to be better about blogging all my wedding and engagement work in 2012 when I can catch my breath! 🙂

Today I wanted to share one of my favorite photos of the day from this amazing wedding at Bourne Mansion in Oakdale, NY.  This venue is quite majestic and served as a great backdrop to this beautiful couple Teresa and Rahn.. Teresa looked stunning and Rahn was a cool cat who actually played guitar and sang her a song during the reception (he’s quite talented). I hope to blog their entire day at some point but wanted to start out with this photo from inside the mansion. Enjoy

Candlewood Shore

This is my friend Rebecca, one of my closest friends growing up. Since I was a guest so I only took a handful of photos. When I’m a guest (especially when my girlfriend Jordana is with me) I try to not shoot so much, but its hard sometimes I see moments like this I gotta capture.

Rebecca got married a stones throw away from where I grew up in Brookfield Connecticut at the scenic Candlewood Inn.  Rebecca loved this photo so I printed it up and framed it for her as a gift and she hung it in her living room..

Picnic House Prospect Park – Film Wedding Photography

For today’s photo of the day, I wanted to share this wedding at the Picnic House in Prospect Park of this beautiful, happy couple Alycia and Mark. I love Brooklyn Weddings and the Picnic House is definitely a great venue for anyone wanting to keep their wedding in the city but also get some nature at the same time.

I took these three photos with my film camera, a medium format camera called a Hasselblad, which Alycia and Mark had requested. Whenever I meet with couples I let them know its an option that is fun for people who want the experience of getting some real film back and the quality of the images this camera produces are beautiful..so I’m always excited when I get to use it. The image of Alycia to the left and the far right of Mark were taking during the ceremony and the middle was right after they got married..enjoy!
