Queens County Farm Museum Wedding – A fall wedding in NYC

Marie and Joseph had a beautiful wedding this past fall at the Queens County Farm Museum in Queens, New York. Their gorgeous  sunny wedding began at Bethlehem Lutheran church in Bay Ridge, Brooklyn followed by a quick stop at the Verrazano bridge for a few photos, and then off to the Queens County Farm where we got to enjoy the beautiful grounds, weather, and pretty peacocks just roaming around.

Marie is an attorney and Joe is an electrician and they met (this is really cute) at a science fiction convention where they went to watch Mystery Science Theater 3000 movies.  Joe proposed to Marie in Philadelphia on the top steps from Rocky. I love how they used the robots from MST3K as their cake toppers and check out that amazing vintage car, a 1959 Ambassador Rambler.

The day was awesome, we got a ton of unique, beautiful wedding photos. And thank you to my second photographer Ryan Dearth for supplying some great images to compliment mine. Enjoy!

Bubby’s Wedding – A beautiful fall Brooklyn day

Tanya and Kevin had an amazing wedding earlier this fall at one of my favorite spots in the city, Bubby’s in Brooklyn. I love that area with the great cobble stone streets, gorgeous views of the Brooklyn and Manhattan bridge and the skyline. Tanya was a wonderful bride and trusted my judgment and eye for setting up some of these beautiful wedding photos we got. They make a really great couple and I think their emotions for each other really come out in some of these photos.

It was a lot of fun walking around DUMBO with them capturing these moments and then heading into Bubby’s for some dinner, dancing, and of course when you’re at Bubby’s…. their delicious wedding pies instead of cake! Oh and they have a photo booth too for wedding guests which is always a lot of fun.

I shot a bit of Hasselblad medium format film at this wedding and am glad I did.. really got some cool stuff I hope you enjoy checking this awesome Brooklyn Wedding out!

Update –  I’m excited to say that a Wedding/bridal blog named Bustle and Flow just featured this wedding.. check out the link HERE.

Beautiful Brooklyn Wedding – Dorick and Lauren

This was the summer of cool Brooklyn Weddings for me, and a perfect example of this was the awesome Brooklyn couple Dorick and Lauren. How could you go wrong with this wedding having your rehearsal dinner at Frankies 457 and then your reception the following day in DUMBO at Superfine. I love my Brooklyn weddings and this one was awesome.

There were musical performances by several talented family members (including the bride singing a beautiful song!) and basically just a long day of good looking people drinking specialty cocktails, enjoying local desserts and partying till late into the evening. You know a couple is going to be cool when they tell you that they’re going to Iceland for their honeymoon..I really liked that.

Dorick and Lauren had a small ceremony at city hall the day before their wedding and then they hired me to capture the rehearsal dinner and reception the following day. We made sure to get some awesome shots of the two of them over the course of the weekend, getting some of my best Brooklyn wedding photos to date.

A locally sourced Brooklyn Wedding – Katherine and Johnny

I’m really excited to share this recent wedding which had it all, everything you could ask for with a Perfect Brooklyn Wedding.

The Wedding Dress – Let’s start with that. Katherine’s wedding dress which was actually made by one of the Groomsmen, their friend and obviously talented tailor Bobby Frederick Tilley.

The Ceremony – The weather was beautiful and the rites were read in Brooklyn Bridge Park…. Katherine looked stunning in her dress with her flowers by local Brooklyn florist Opalia, Johnny dashing, and their puppy Lola didn’t look too shabby either with flowers round her neck.

The Reception – Might have been the best wedding food I’ve ever had? The always warm and inviting Frankies 457 was host to this amazing Brooklyn wedding, with perfectly set tables and expert waitstaff. There was dancing, heartfelt speeches, some fun props for photos, and local Brooklyn baker Betsy at Nine Cakes who made several scrumptious wedding cakes.

The Photos – Now its time for my part.. I had so many I wanted to share it was hard to pare it down..so here’s a bunch of my favorites from the day.
