My recent engagement session with Jon and Kerry started towards the end of the evening, so once the sun went down it was a chance to find some creative light.. this was shot in DUMBO, Brooklyn using an overheard lamp.. I can’t wait to photograph their wedding in a few weeks!
Todays photo of the day is from a recent engagement session I did with Alicia and Matt, a fun couple that came up from North Carolina to do a little destination engagement session with me. We had a great time and got a ton of beautiful photos. We hit up some of the key spots for a couple visiting out of town for their engagement session:
Grand Central Station
Here’s one of my favs from the day:
I have been very lucky to be so busy lately. I’m booked for about 43 weddings this year and at least 20 engagement sessions so I haven’t really had to time to blog as much as I’d like to.
SO, I think I’m going to try to put more single photos up here and there, as opposed to lengthy blog posts… to keep my blog more active. I’m starting here with a “Photo a day” post.. might not be everyday but I don’t want to call it, “Photo every few days”. That just doesn’t have a good ring to it. The hope is to give my lovely viewers (yes you) something to look at more often..
Today I’m sharing an engagement session from this spring in Dumbo, Brooklyn. This is Zach and Jenna, a wonderful couple whose wedding I will be blogging sooner than later.. can’t wait to share those photos but check this one out for now. Enjoy!
I spent a fun afternoon recently on the west side of Manhattan photographing an engagement session with a lovely couple – Jordan and Svetlana. I really like the west side/west village of Manhattan, not only do you have the piers and the water but then some of the most beautiful buildings and cool backdrops this city has to offer. Take a look at that cool old vintage car we ran across, the facade of Automatic Slims, and the unique garages. We had such a good time and got a bunch of really lovely photos.. I can’t wait for their wedding this upcoming Saturday at the Palm House in the Brooklyn Botanical Gardens..its going to be awesome. Enjoy!
How photogenic were Kirk and Tara? They just had so much with with this engagement session and were like pros when it came to posing.. we went around Brooklyn, starting off in the gritty/urban look of Gowanus (the area between Carroll Gardens and Park Slope) then hopped in the subway and made our way over to Park Slope. We wound up at Prospect Park and finished up at Grand Army Plaza as the sun started to set. I think we got some very cool engagement photos.. Kirk and Tara were just having a good time and were up for anything I wanted to try…. I think I definitely captured some beautiful moments and created a few artistic images for them to remember this day. Enjoy checking them out!
