Engaged in New York City – West Side Love Story

This was a beautiful engagement session I was so pleased to have photographed.. I’ve done a bunch of engagement sessions on the west side of Manhattan on and around the Highline, but never with a couple who actually met in that area and went to the same High School right there.. it was pretty cool that Fabricio and Rachel both grew up there.

I love that area of the city I think there’s such a cool vibe. Its unlike any area of New York City and the Highline is such a fun place for photography. I’m really looking forward to their wedding at the exclusive Abigail Kirsch venue at Stage 6 Steiner Studios. I think they both have a great style about them and look awesome in these photos.. You’ll see those shots for sure later this fall, but enjoy these for now.

New York City Engagement Session – one cool couple

I met up with Miguel and Andrea on recent late summer afternoon, to photograph their engagement session. From my first shot of them I knew they were going to be awesome in front of the lens, and I was right — we got a ton of cool photos.

We started in the Meat Packing District of NYC at Pastis, and walked around the Highline for a bit then hopped a cab and shot over to the West Village. I wanted to do a few photos on some of those beautiful streets. I shot a bit of film with my Hasselblad to really give some mood to their photos. I love how these photos turned out and can’t wait for their wedding next year….
