Repeal Day, End of Prohibition Party at Employees Only

Monday night was the annual celebration of Repeal Day, the day Prohibition was repealed. I believe this is a party that happens around the country, but the best spot in the city to celebrate is at one of my favorite bars, Employees Only. Punches and beautiful hand crafted cocktails flowed, and people danced to the ragtime sounds from the band.

Then later in the night the real entertainment began, in the form of a burlesque show on top of the bar, led by Lady Rizo and her troupe. They were freaking awesome, totally captivating the audience with songs and dancing.

The party was really great, even I dressed up although in a linen suit with a straw hat, not quite 30s like most of the folks there, but I tried!
