Bubby’s Wedding – A beautiful fall Brooklyn day

Tanya and Kevin had an amazing wedding earlier this fall at one of my favorite spots in the city, Bubby’s in Brooklyn. I love that area with the great cobble stone streets, gorgeous views of the Brooklyn and Manhattan bridge and the skyline. Tanya was a wonderful bride and trusted my judgment and eye for setting up some of these beautiful wedding photos we got. They make a really great couple and I think their emotions for each other really come out in some of these photos.

It was a lot of fun walking around DUMBO with them capturing these moments and then heading into Bubby’s for some dinner, dancing, and of course when you’re at Bubby’s…. their delicious wedding pies instead of cake! Oh and they have a photo booth too for wedding guests which is always a lot of fun.

I shot a bit of Hasselblad medium format film at this wedding and am glad I did.. really got some cool stuff I hope you enjoy checking this awesome Brooklyn Wedding out!

Update –Ā  I’m excited to say that a Wedding/bridal blog named Bustle and Flow just featured this wedding.. check out the link HERE.

  1. We loved our photos. Daniel was very smooth and able to take photos showing us at our most naturl and best.

  2. Daniel captured the theme of the wedding, as well as candid photos of Tanya & Kevin and friends & family at their best.

  3. Thanks for all the comments!

Regarding the Hasselblad, I do try to shoot it when I can and I offer it as an additional option to couples, I shoot a few rolls and develop it for them.

    Thanks again!

  4. That’s certainly impressive that you shoot with your hassy. I can’t imagine how difficult that must be, metering and everything. Do you use your digital to meter first and then just go off that for your exposures, or do you actually pull out a light meter?

  5. Daniel,

I was fixing my blog and revisited your comment. Clicked through to here and can’t help but tell you. I love your NYC work. Been there a couple of times and your shots really bring out the city. I can see your love šŸ˜€

Good stuff! Now if it isn’t 2:21am I should go on reading your stuff hehehe.. Merry Christmas btw!

  6. These photos are amazing! There is no way I would ever be able to choose which one I like best; they are all so great!
