Metropolitan Building Wedding – A Jewish Wedding In New York City

Haley and Geoff got married at one of the more amazing wedding venues I’ve photographed at, the Metropolitan Building in Long Island City. Everything about this day was really wonderful.. from Geoff’s friend who shot 8mm footage to the perfect details of the cake toppers, Ketubah, wedding dress and grooms suit. You can see more of the details at the bottom of the blog post.

Haley works in fashion as a knitwear designer and Geoff is an award winning film editor and worked on the amazing documentary “The Cove’ which won the academy award for the best documentary (such a great film you should see it!). Haley is so creative and made or designed most of the little wedding details from the day of course using Etsy (quickly becoming the artsy wedding go-to supplier) for her purchases..

As for me I was just thrilled being able to photograph this wedding of this beautiful, creative couple at such a unique wedding venue. Thank you to my second photographer Adam Lerner for his help with the day. Enjoy the photos!

  1. That venue is divine! It totally looks amazing. You got some really great shots of the couple together and I’m sure that they will cherish them forever.

  2. So beautiful. Everything about this wedding is so cozy and intimate and sweet. Gorgeous venue that adds so much character to what looks like a truly special day.

  3. I love that idea of having guests type a note, how cool! I adore that photograph of them in the room among the hanging chairs.
